eco-Volunteers Lend A Hand To Florida Parks!
Dozens of volunteers, slipped on work gloves to lend a hand to the Florida Parks Service.
The group spent time enjoying the great outdoors at Bill Baggs Cape Park in South Florida and pitched in to remove exotic plants from the park’s overlook to mangrove restoration areas. Volunteers say they enjoyed their “green” experience, while also learning how these exotic plants can become so invasive that they displace the state’s native plant species and disrupt the ecosystem.
