The Volunteer USA Foundation is currently accepting gifts for our Family Literacy program. Here’s how you can help families improve their English skills, help parents earn GED’s and help deserving families attend college.
$100
Purchases a "Parent and Child Together time" event at a local family literacy site. Your gift will purchase a shared meal for our families, and you will receive a card of thanks and a picture from the event.
$250
Purchases books for a family in your name (name plates included in books with your name). Most of our families have less than 12 books in the home, so our programs prefer to use books in the classroom that can go home with the families.

Parent Scholarship. Funds will be given to a parent to continue their education. You will receive information on how your funds are used, and if interested you may choose to be on a local selection committee via conference call.

Child Scholarship. Purchases a pre-paid scholarship for a child to attend community college in Florida when they graduate from high school. Since none of the parents of these children have yet earned a high school diploma, your gift helps them to underscore how important education is to their child, and if they work hard in school, there will be money for them to attend. Local programs will select deserving families. You will receive information on how your funds are used.
