Here’s what we are passionate about. We believe that everyone has a way to make a difference in this world.

First if you truly want to make a difference, we ask that you volunteer one hour a week. It’s as simple as going to your local school or community program and letting them know you are willing to serve as a volunteer. If you have questions, email us.

If you are affiliated with a non-profit in the south-eastern United States, and you’d like to learn about our grants and funding opportunities, simply sign up to receive our newsletter. We don’t ever share our lists, and you can expect to hear from us about 6 times a year.

If you're interested in investing in one of our programs in Florida or one that we will be rolling out in the south-east United States, let us know. We look for people power; we accept donations; and we value all types of in-kind support. We are in the beginning stages of a project called Rally Home, which will help non-profit organizations around the country provide veterans with a variety of services they may need once they return home. More information will be available at a later date.

Right now we are proudly working to expand our very successful Teen Trendsetters™ Reading Mentors program. Teens love it…and that’s why we are growing throughout the Southeast to gather dynamic high school teens who will spend one hour a week during the school year mentoring third-graders in reading.

Today we have over 3000 teen mentors, and we’re looking for more select teens to join the trend. They (along with a school advisor) will enjoy all-expenses paid trip to Orlando this fall, including a park visit to Universal Studios Orlando. The Florida training will include all the materials -books and curriculum - plus access to a network of teens and professionals to make sure each program is a success. We’ll also pay $1000 to an advisor at your school to help students organize the program. To learn more, see www.volunteerusafoundation.org and apply on line.

(Please note: Volunteer USA Foundation is currently accepting applications from teens in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.)
