Jacksonville, FL -- In observance of January as National Mentoring Month, more than 100 students from Jacksonville high schools and elementary schools were treated to a reading rally, held at Frank Peterson Academies of Technology, as part of their commitment to the Teen Trendsetters™ Reading Mentors program. Teen Trendsetters, an award-winning youth mentoring program launched in Florida in 2002, pairs high school teens with 2nd and 3rd graders to boost the reading skills of the younger students.

Jeb Bush and his wife, Columba, again will serve as hosts of Florida’s annual Celebration of Reading, which marks its tenth year on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa in Bonita Springs. Florida’s Celebration of Reading has raised more than $14 million for family literacy programs in Florida and the southeastern U.S.
